Why I’m Building an AI Image Generator for Polish-Speaking Users

2026-11-06来源 dev.to ProductivityEnglish

When I searched for AI image generation tools in Polish, many of the websites I came across belonged to large products serving people around the world. I wanted to build something with a more specific focus: people who use Polish every day, including those who have yet to try turning a description into an image.

That is the idea behind generowanieobrazow.com, a website I’m developing for Polish-speaking users. I want it to be a place where someone can try an idea in their own words and tell the developer what would make the experience more useful.

The moment before someone writes their first prompt

If you already use image generators, describing a scene and pressing a button can feel ordinary. For someone encountering the idea for the first time, the possibilities may be less obvious. An empty prompt box gives them room to create, but it also leaves them with a decision to make before anything happens.

Someone might have a picture in mind without knowing how to describe it. They might want an illustration for a personal project, an image for a presentation, or simply to see whether an imagined scene can become visible.

Those are the first attempts I want to make room for. I’d like more people to discover that they can begin with a sentence in Polish. A useful first experience could be as simple as describing an object, seeing a result, and deciding what they would change.

I want to find out how much a familiar language and a clear first example can help. Actual use will tell me where my assumptions are wrong.

Giving Polish-speaking users a place in the design

For this project, Polish is the starting point for the interface and the examples. The descriptions, controls, and suggested prompts should help someone understand what they can try next.

That gives me concrete decisions to work on as a developer. The site offers Polish prompt examples that people can read before creating an account. They can see how a description talks about an object, its surroundings, or the direction of the light. Then they can adapt it to a different idea.

The generator also keeps the main choices close to the prompt: the image proportions and the file format. The basic path is to describe a scene, generate it, inspect the preview, and download the result.

These choices give the project a starting shape. I want feedback from Polish-speaking users to influence what happens next, especially when something that looks straightforward to me turns out to be confusing in practice.

A first experiment can be quite small

A ceramic cup is a useful subject for a first attempt because it gives you a few visible details to describe. You could start with:
Szałwiowy kubek ceramiczny na jasnym kamiennym blacie, gałązka oliwna po prawej, miękkie światło z okna po lewej, ciepłe kremowe tło.

In English, that describes a sage-colored ceramic cup on a pale stone countertop, with an olive branch on the right, soft window light from the left, and a warm cream background.

It gives you something specific to look for in the result: the cup’s color, the surface, the branch, and the light. For another attempt, you might change the background or ask for a watercolor illustration. Keeping most of the description gives you a clearer basis for comparing the images, although the same prompt can still produce different results.

The website has a ceramic-cup example with a full Polish prompt that you can explore and adapt.

To try the generator:

Write a description or adapt one of the public examples.Choose square, landscape, or portrait proportions, then select PNG or JPEG.Sign up or log in to generate an image. New signups receive credits for one free image, including download.Inspect the result and save it. Generated files should be downloaded within 14 days.
Further generation is available through paid plans or credit packs. The current tool accepts text descriptions and produces images at 2K.
The next useful feature might come from you

Building for Polish-speaking users means being willing to hear needs I haven’t anticipated. Perhaps an example is difficult to adapt. Perhaps a label sounds awkward, or someone wants to create a kind of image that the existing examples don’t help them describe.
Those are useful things to tell me. A specific account of what you wanted to make, where you hesitated, and what you expected to happen would help me understand the problem much better than a general request for more features.

You can leave that feedback in the responses to this article, in Polish or English. I’m interested in the first attempts as well as the polished results. If you opened the site and stopped before generating anything, I’d like to understand that experience too.
This is still a small product built using existing image-generation technology. I’m sharing the direction I want to take it, and I expect to learn from people using it. I want Polish-speaking users to have a practical way into this kind of creation and a voice in how their tool develops.

If you try it, start with a picture you would actually like to make. Then tell me which part of getting there could have been easier.
