Structured Resume Data in Node.js: From PDF Upload to Screenable Profiles

2026-10-13来源 dev.to NodeEnglish

Talynce is an AI recruiting platform focused on resume parsing, candidate screening, and AI phone/video interviews.

Why structure matters

Raw PDF resumes are terrible inputs for consistent screening. Hiring teams need the same fields every time: skills, recent roles, tenure, education, and location signals.

A practical Node pipeline

On a Next.js + Node.js stack (no Python required), a solid flow looks like:

  1. Accept the upload and store the original securely.
  2. Extract text, then map it into a PostgreSQL schema.
  3. Normalize skills and job titles against a controlled vocabulary.
  4. Score the candidate against the open role rubric.
  5. Hand a shortlist to humans — optionally after an AI phone or video screen.

Stack we use at Talynce

React, Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, OpenAI, Redis, and Gemini.

If you are building recruiting automation, start at Talynce.
