Show HN: Flick – A sports scores app without spoilers
I'm someone who rarely has time to watch sports games live. I used to record them and try to watch them in the evening after the kids were asleep but that meant having to avoid seeing the score all day long. It just wasn't fun anymore.
Flick is a simple app I built where you can see how far along the games are but they all start at the beginning. You progress any game at your own pace. Best installed on your phone just by "Adding to Home Screen" from your mobile browser.
Supports NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, CFB now. It's most useful when games are actually running.
* You can "flick" the pills along the track to unveil the score at that time. * You can tap into a pill to go play-by-play (or shot-by-shot, pitch-by-pitch, score-by-score) in the style of an old school LCD game. * You can tap the home or away team in the LCD game mode to totally hide a team's scoring to play one side of the offense only.
If you're trying it out and it's during a time where no games are going on, just flick the date pill at the top to past days to play those games.
