How to add a handwritten signature to a PDF in your browser

I’m Denis, the creator of Brodlin PDF. I built free tools for everyday document tasks, including adding a handwritten signature to a PDF. Here’s how to do it in your browser.

  1. Open Brodlin PDF Editor and choose your PDF.
  2. Select the signature tool and draw your signature.
  3. Place it where you need it on the page, then export the PDF.
  4. Open the downloaded file and check the signature before sending it.

The editor and export are free. This adds a visible signature to the page; it is not a certificate-based digital signature. Adding text also places it over the page rather than changing the original PDF text.

There’s also a Brodlin PDF Chrome extension for reading PDFs, highlighting, notes and signatures. The website editor works without installing the extension.
