HeapDeck: an on-call monitor for PostgreSQL on iPhone and iPad
HeapDeck is a new native app for engineers on call for PostgreSQL 13 to 19, on the App Store for iPhone and iPad.
It opens on one health verdict with ten tiles. The Locks screen draws the tree from pg_blocking_pids() with the root blocker on top and counts the sessions that stopping it would free. Other screens cover pg_stat_activity, transaction ID wraparound and dead tuples, replication lag and slots, and pg_stat_statements.
The app uses a direct connection or an SSH tunnel, with TLS and pinned fingerprints. No vendor server sits between the phone and the database. It works while open and sends no alerts, so it goes next to your existing alerting.
Monitoring one server is free. HeapDeck Pro is a one-time in-app purchase that adds more servers and the actions: cancel, terminate, VACUUM, dropping a slot and writes.
