Finally, a Photo Manager That Keeps My Library Local
I’ve tried five different photo apps this year, and most of them want me to upload my entire library to their cloud. That’s a dealbreaker for me—not just because of privacy, but because my internet is slow and my library is huge. Last week I found lapphotos, an open-source photo manager that runs completely offline. It indexes thousands of RAW files in minutes and lets me search by date, camera, or even custom tags without a single upload. The interface is simple, no bloat. I keep it on my laptop and it just works. If you care about keeping your photos on your own drives, give it a shot: https://lapphotos.com/. It’s been a quiet game-changer for my workflow.
